To really pi@&me off. Here is the situation at hand, on my club there are 5 if not 6 long beards on the back side of the property, i have hunted them a few times and they gobble to everything all day. i got set up on them friday morning and only one gobbled on the limb, i was on the field as he usually pitches in to it from the roost. well he didnt, i cant slip around very much as the entire property is select cuts or clear cut, well he gobbles when he hits the ground and does so at my calls until well past 0800 then silence, i give it a bit and notice something in to my right in the coroner and its not one but 3 long beards, 2 of them strutters and one is drumming the entire time i see them, they are headed straight for me, i try to get get them to stop in an opening not 20 yards from me with a soft cluck, well they make a b-line for the call and pass by at an addrenalin pumping 6 steps. i try get a shoht but if i move im busted so i let them walk. i give them 5 minutes and call again and nothing. i am ing to kill one if not all three of them be4 season is out. . May have to have some help from one or two of yall

when they get to a spot that you can shoot em, just move the gun and shoot. They WILL see you but you will normally have time to shoot before they move. Esp if they are in strut.
I sit with my gun in my lap most of the time and just pick it up and shoot.
I drilled "don't move" into my wife when she first started going with me years ago. One morning I called a bird up to 20 steps, off maybe 30 degrees to he left. I told her to shoot. She said she couldn't move........I said out loud "turn and shoot"!!!! She killed him easily.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
