I know that some people think that it should be a crime to use a 223 for deer, but what's the difference shooting a large mag and not hitting the deer with a killing shot. I have processed many deer that have been shot with a 223 and they were just as dead as the ones killed with 300 mag. Being able to put the shot where it needs to be is the most important factor. Using a bullet that will stay together in a 223 and get the penetration and accuracy will get the job done.
