I'm 6'1 225 with a 34" waist. I need to be about 15 pounds lighter but I'd look like a cancer patient at less than 200. That must be one tight belt! Lol. Not really. I don't have a gut and other than the year or two following my divorce i've stayed in decent shape. The biggest i've ever been was after my divorce and I got to 240 and a 36" waist. I'm about 6'1" @ 195 and wear a loose 34" in the waist, and you totin' a button buck more than me and still get in 34". Them babys gotta be tight! It's called..... Elastic!!! Just built different. I wear a 52 long in a jacket but only a 34 in the waist. Not only aren't they tight, if I try to wear the same Jeans two days in a row they won't stay up if I don't cinch my belt up. I will not wear a pair of pants that aren't comfortable.

I used to think bill was a little biddy guy for some reason then I saw a picture of him and it made me really glad I didn't piss him off worse back when we used to go at it in the sports forum. LOL. Big don't mean much. Toughest guy I ever knew was about 5'9 and maybe 150. You could whip him until you got tired and then he'd go to work.

Started a diet on Jan 17. Did measurements on arms, neck and belly (not waist) relaxed. Did same measurements Friday night. Lost 7" in belly, one in arms, one in neck.
I'm down 40 pounds. Being told I'm not far from being able to stop at a weight that I look healthy at. Still 24 pounds from my target weight of 199.
My shoulders are as wide as anyone's and I'm built thick to begin with. I'd never be able to get to the target weights discussed here. Ever. I think a physician should make those descisions. Not an insurance company.

Those charts are complete BS and that's coming from a healthcare professional. My "ideal weight" for my medium frame 5'7 height is 133-147. I weigh about 160 and never more than 165. For a guy that's gonna be 47 in 2 months, I ain't looking too bad and feel even better! If I was below 145, I would look like a terminally ill person. I also think the BMI is a crock of $hit. According to that, I'm almost overweight. I wear a 38-40 regular coat and a 32 inch waist. How is that overweight? Who comes up with these numbers?

Dr. B Doc. They want us to all look like Kenyan marathon runners. Speaking of Kenyans, , wonder if there's anything hidden in Obama care about weight, BMI and the like?

I am 45 years old and 5'11". 15 years ago after grad school and a sedentary job I weighed over 190 - I was fat. I decided to start eating better and running and lost about 40 pounds. I have been as light as 145 in 2008 after spending six months in Iraq. With moderate exercise I have no trouble staying around 155. I hurt my back in 2011 and find myself creeping up on 165 because running is less fun (pain-wise). I really feel like I am about 10 pounds too heavy and have started doing alternate forms of exercise to try to get back between 150-155.

Overweight? Me, definitely, at 6-0 and 255ish. Have been as high as 265.
Started walking again this week, though. Fell off the wagon over the holidays.
If any of you are mild walker-joggers or are thinking about it, the current issue of "Runner's World" has some solid info about building up your routes, losing weight, things to eat and snack on that are good fat/bad food substitutes, stretching, and balancing walking/jogging with a rest day or two of weights to let your muscles recover.

I'm 5'10" and just shy of 160. I try to hang around 165, but lost weight due to a busy work schedule. I start looking too thin at 155. Those BMI charts are ridiculous.
