I would say keep her under 140lbs, depending on height, and other various factors. thumbup

start at the max and work it down until she feels comfortable pulling it back....oh and I'd pound it every chance you get while you still can.

My wife started at around 30 lbs. She shot it each week a bunch and we would move it up 2 or 3 pounds at the time. She can pull 60 easy now. Just takes time. I see some ladies pulling way to much weight. Keep it where she can hold her bow level and pull it easy. She will build up her muscles in time.

my wife shoots 45 easy, 50 when she's practicing a lot.

Good first bows. Mine killed me a buck first year. 50 lb will drop a deer in a heartbeat

Another little secret, once you have the bow to where she can comfortably draw and shoot it, turn the limb bolts in a quarter or half turn after each practice without her knowing it. That's what I did to my mother and my son. It tends to distract or make them nervous if they know you have adjusted the weight before they shoot. My mom could only handle drawing 20# when she first started. Of course she was 60 years old and had had a double mastectomy before she started shooting. In no time I had her to 30# with out her even realizing it. After changing limbs on the bow, I had her up to 40# in no time. Once she hit about 45# she noticed it and couldn't handle it. She shoots 42# now.
