Think I would stick with my 308 and learn how to shoot the thing, maybe I'm lucky but I have always been blessed with a decent ability to shoot. Whenever I had to qaulify in the army I scored expert mainly becuase I was one of the few who would actually take the longer shots. Others would not even shoot at the longer range targets and save the rounds in case they missed a closer one. Learn to shoot what you have and there is very little you cant do with it.
