The biggest problem with too much calling,I believe is after he hears it for a while is, he is just gonna stand there and wait on the excited hen to come on over there to him,he does not have to look for a hen that wont shut up he already knows where she is. If you want him to hunt you let him know you are there and shut up if he is gonna come he will.One of the best turkey hunters to ever step foot in these mountains once told me if a gobbler hears you he will eventually come looking for you,just may be 3 or 4 hours later. Turkey's have no perception of time so 3 hours means nothing to them,light calling,being in the right place,and patience will kill more birds any day of the week,than any of that pretty competition,loud mouth never shut up stuff.
