Heres what my buddy told me to do first. Sandbag the gun @ '10 aiming dead center of about a 3" circle, shoot plain #8's to see if its shooting straight. Then back up to 30yrd and check pattern with some heavy turkey 6's and go with it if its enough pellets.


That has probably worked for 100's if not 1000's of turkey hunters over the years. As long as you know your capabilities and limitations and stick to them, you should be good.
