Anyone seeing any rut activity? Went this past weekend and saw a few does. Guy on the club next to us shot a decent 6 point that had a swollen neck and smelled terrible. Was chasing a doe at the time.

I hunt in Waverly and we haven't had any rut activity yet but we usually see ours kick in around the 18th on out.

I saw two small bucks last Saturday and a bunch of doe. No chasing at all. But, one of the bucks did respond to my grunt call.

I hunt the west side of chambers county near five points and we are seeing alot of chasing. I killed a good 11 at 8:45 friday morning coming to grunt and rattle. I have seen several small bucks chasing but no big boys.I think it is gonna be prime from here on out

The world needs more people holding deer in pictures, and less people holding cameras in front of mirrors.

This past weekend we had lots of chasing and grunting going on. Mostly young bucks. We are in Dudleyville.

I'm in camp hill as well. My buddy killed a 7 point that was stinky last Friday but no one has seen any chasing yet. Hell were just now seeing scrapes...

I'm in lee county not too far from the chambers line. They were cruising pretty good last week and seemed to be responding to calling pretty good. Rattled in my first buck in Alabama a couple days ago.

anyone have any problems with crime lately around the camp hill area? weve had our camp broken into twice now in the past 6 months. also have a big problem with poaching. we actually have pics on our game camera of two guys carrying a dead turkey off one of our green fields. best part is, the game warden knows the two guys. pressing charges, foe sho!!!

They are picking up at our place just outside camp hill, part of Hawgwilds old lease. We have seen several small bucks chasing but not the big boys yet. Hope things break open this weekend but its looking like the peak may be February

I hunt in Camp Hill also. I have killed a really nice buck the last 3 out of 4 years on the very last day of the season. I think the peak here is the last few days of January.
