Mature bucks will not use a foodplot during daylight hours......  I think I've heard that more than once. Nice buck. Looks like he's got some good mass. Good job

They don't if it is pressured - Its the 2nd or 3rd time this plot has been sat this year. He came walking down the road at about 5:05 PM and when he cut the corner to the patch I raised my rifle. He walked in and passed by the does like they were not there and I mouth grunted, he stopped, looked over his shoulder and I popped him in the neck at about 70 yds. About 18" outside with good mass and long main beams - 9 pt with a 1" sticker point off beam with good mass for around here - 175#s

He was trying to shoot a doe for the smoker and just parked his truck close to the field. Bucks walked up to his truck, stared at it a minute or two, then came on in the field. One was a nice 8. It all depends on what they get used to. Nice deer.

We put ammonia on our patches and they are green as poison. I can really tell a difference in the deer activity around them. I think he was coming in to feed. Ammonia really makes a huge difference in the quality of your plots.

Our's are so green they're almost blue. Finally got some good rain on them.
