I'm in "the barn" again this morning. I'd hoped a buck might be in the RR corn at daylight, but he wasn't. No deer so far, but this cold weather has got the turkeys fired up. I had a hen, jake, and 3 longbeards pitch down into the clover patch about 75 yds. from me.

Not a whole lot of good story to it. I jumped a deer right under my stand walking in. Climber up, got settled and about 15 min later he come walkin down the road. Killed him at 40 yards.

Man. Four does come by like they read the script at 7. Then I saw the deer I been huntin, Aka bull winkle, he was 20 yards off firebreak and just watching. A spike crossed at 50 and the biggun went to cross. I drew back and he angled away. He way 60ish and made two hops across fire break at 0730. A tall horned cowhorn just crossed at 90 yards. Now I thinking how I gonna get him in the morning.

Seen 4 does and just passed on a 2.5 yr old 8 point..He was a nice buck just to young.

Just had 4 does come out of no where with a 4 point chasing. I did hear him do a little grunting. A small spike out and either went with the does or was chasing them. This in perry county.

I have got two Kobelco CK-850 cranes in front of me. One is moving around and swinging from left to right. I am in a bottom next to a creek. There is a nice hardwood bottom just to my left along the creek on the opposite side of ALDOT right of way. On the other side, a bridge is standing there all poised and ready to fall in at any given moment. Man, the rush I get when I hear the back-up alarms or swing alarms is something that I will never be able to get over.

Should have been with me this morning. Hard hats required.

I just gave a 2 year old a "free ride" too. Perfect rack - 3" browtines, 4/5" G2's and 3's; 140-150 lbs. I had my safety off, but just couldn't do it...he'll be a dandy next year
