Anyone have any experience with them? I'm looking at the Suunto Core Black. Link

If anyone has another watch they would recommend I'm all ears. I've had dozens of Fossil and casio watches and I want something better.

I have a Suunto Vector with the black face. I got introduced to them while I was in Afghanistan with the Special Ops guys. They really like the watches.

I'm in sales and give corporate presentations on a regular basis. Wouldn't be to professional if I pulled out my phone during a meeting to check the time or my timing. When I'm in meetings my phone stays in my bag.

I owned a watch when I was 10 years old. I wore it for about 3 months. That's been over 30 years ago. That's the last time I wore one.

If those are the features you need, you've found your watch. Some of the G-shocks might do some of those functions.

If you want to spend way too much time looking at some opinions on watches, check out the website watchuseek.com. But be forewarned, those people talk about watches like folks on here talk about oil filters and clothes hangers.

That's like saying I'm partial to a yugo or BMW. Seiko was quality 25 years ago but their watches today are cheaply made Chinese junk.

I’ve had a Suunto Observer for years and would recommend it. I wear it for most outdoor sports and when traveling places that it would be inappropriate (or dangerous) to wear an expensive timepiece.

As mentioned above its like a social status in the Spec Ops community. We used to get them issued before Iraq and Afghanistan. They are good watches unless you find your self in these places I'd get something else.
