My two boys (8 and 11), and me went for an afternoon fishing trip. We pulled in a cove and dropped the power pole down. 1 and a half hours, we caught over 30 bass. Never moved spots. I've never had that happen. It was a blast. That's not counting the ones that got off. No huge ones. All between 1 and 3 lbs.

You remember those trips for a long time.My high school buddy and I got on them one spring morning on Guntersville and I remember it 60 years later. Grass was about 12” under the water and they were blasting spinnerbaits run across the top of it. We came home with two limits of 3-6 lb fish and have no idea how many we caught. I put a ding in my boat that day because we were so stoked I might have come into the dock a little hot.

My brother in law and I fished a tournament on Lay several years ago. We were catching them so fast, we we just throwing them in the live well, and not taking the time to cull. He proceeds to unhook one and hand to me, telling me to just throw it in the live well, only problem was it wouldn't fit. I don't remember how many we caught that day, but it was a lot. We didn't move the boat over 20 yards in one way or another that day, after we got to our spot. Every one of them looked like they were cut out of a mold. Every fish we caught was 3-4lbs. Came in 2nd that day with 19.85lbs. We still talk about that day and how unreal it was. That spot wound up producing for years, and made a lot of money for us.

There is a hump in rock creek on Smith Lake. During the summer me and my dad would run there after it got dark. Water was around 10 to 15 feet but surrounded by 50 ft water. We would catch fish for a solid hour and then they quit.
