I shoot the 130s over Ramshot Tac. Average velocity is around 3200fps, extremely accurate and excellent performance on game.

I would be shocked if Varget doesn't produce for you.

The buddy of mine that these are for is pretty adamant about wanting to shoot a 130 grain bullet that he can get a pass through with. I tried to talk him into a 150 accubond but he really wanted to try the 130 grain so that's what I did. He's been shooting the 150 grain norma soft point and he's getting a good mushroom on deer because he's found 2 bullets while cleaning them but he's just wanting to try something different that will penetrate better.

Speer #2034 PSPBT 165gr over 41.8gr of IMR 4895. This is a long standing load combination with outstanding results. 44.6 grains of Varget with this same bullet gives the same results. Both loads will give sub MOA groups to at least 200 yards. Never shot a deer more than once, never failed to have a pass through and never lost one with these loads. The .308 was built around a 168 grain bullet and it performs best in that weight range, IMHO.
Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

My new one hates 165s, shoots 150s good enough to hunt with but will shoot the 130s sub MOA at 100-200yds all day. I wanted it to love the 165s like my old one but was disappointed. I’m not sure why it won’t shoot them. I guess the 30yrs difference in the guns is the reason. I’m gonna say new barrel technology has a lot to do with it.

If i was loading the 130 TTSX in my 308, I'd reach for my jug of TAC first.

Believe it or not, the best 'all-rounder' powder in my 308s for 125s - 165s is IMR 3031. Old as the hills and still performing.

I have shot that bullet over a max charge of CFE 223. 3200 fps and tiny groups from a few different rifles. I know I'm in the minority, but I didn't get good blood trails with that bullet. Killed deer fine, but you'd better pay attention to where it went. I honestly got better blood trails from the 62 grain Barnes from my 223. Can't explain it, but that's the way I saw it. I loaded that bullet with Varget and H335, had better accuracy with the H335. I was shooting them through my old ruger skelton stock 308, it was not super picky about loads. The bullet kills deer just fine, I never needed a blood trail with the few deer I shot with it, they dropped or went down in sight.
