Anyone using or have experience with G5 Montecs? This is my son's first year to bowhunt. Got him some G5's, he's ready to plug one.

I personally am still hooked on Muzzy 100's.

I used them for three years and was impressed with how razor sharp you could get them with little effort. They hold an edge too, so be careful handling them. They flew and grouped better than any other fixed blade I have tried out of my bow. I shoot the Rage 2 blade 100gr now because nothing I have ever shot flies as true or groups like the Rage. I still keep a Montec in my quiver though.

I used to shoot em. They're tough heads. I love how easy they are to resharpen. I just prefer a rage because they fly just like my field points.

I use em. They fly as well as my field points and are as tough as nails.

I use the montec C5 carbon steel. They come sharper and hold a good edge. I believe its the best fixed blade on the market.

ROLL TIDE! that is all.

When I was looking at that style head I went with the hellrazors because you get 4 in a pack. I think they are pretty similiar the HR's just were a little bigger. I think they are both nasty and cant wait to stick a deer with one. They are SUPER sharp.

My G5's fly like field tips and easy to sharpen! I killed two last week with the same head and arrow and waiting to get off of work to hopefully blow some holes thru somemore! If u shoot alot of deer and don't want to buy alot of replacement blades the G5's are way to go! Rage may be a Great head but the replacement blades are high just like the heads are, but i guess if you don't shoot alot of deer they are worth the money!!!!
