It was my youngest boys 14th birthday last week. My mother in law sent him a card with $40 cash in it. The card arrived with the envelope opened an no money inside. The card was situated in such a way that the money could not have accidentally fallen out. I called the usps to report the theft. They do not have a process to recoup the money, nor will they investigate the theft. They would not even call it theft. “Not enough evidence “
