This morning I completed a Slam with a great Osceola.

Spent 4 days in Florida on a quota with my son and two of his friends. We started off with a bang first morning, my son and friend killed a bird within 30 min of daylight. It got tough quick after that as we didn’t hear but one gobble for the next two days. Yesterday afternoon we were blessed to roost several birds for todays final morning hunt.

This morning I got set up on one of them and my son’s friend who killed the first morning was filming the hunt. Bird flew down and proceeded to sit just out of sight at about 60-70 yds gobbling about every 45 sec to a minute. He had to of gobbled a 100 times. Took me just over an hour of soft yelps and scratching in the leaves to get him to break and come into the palmettos from his strut zone. When he finally showed, he was maybe 10 yds. The TSS did the rest and we got it all on video. He had beard rot down to about 2” but I think his hooks tell the story.
