I like the fiberglass “bubble” looking ones that anchor to concrete and are buried completely beneath the ground. They have some with sliding doors and can be put on flat ground so there’s no need for a hillside or a mound of dirt in the yard.
If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.-Mark Twain

I’ve seen pictures of one in Chilton county a family hunkered down in over the weekend. It looked like a storage shed/3sided carport buried in the ground with railroad ties on 3 sides and big metal door on the 4th. All buried except the door side. Their trailer was demolished but the shelter kept them safe. Very redneck engineered.

i helped a buddy one weekend trimming a new construction home and there was a septic company there putting in a huge plastic septic tank. had 2 big lids on either end. why couldn’t you add some ventilation pipes and a sheet of plywood to have a flat surface to lay on in the bottom. would guess it was 6-8’ long , 3-4’ in diameter
Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers.......... Si Robertson
