Centerfire suppressors generally don't need cleaning, but rimfire cans definitely do.
Threading on a barrel can be generally stated, but there are no absolutes. Most common are 1/2" x 28 and 5/8" x 24, but I have seen 9/16" x 28, .578" x 28, 11/16" x 24, M18 x 1.5, right handed, left handed, metric threads, ad infinitum.
Best rimfire can I have ever used is a Dead Air Mask. If I could easily trade suppressors, I would trade all 3 of my other rimfire cans for that model.
And I would never shoot rimfire through a centerfire can with any regularity.

Look up the Liberty mystic X. It will handle both and comes apart for cleaning. Shooting rimfire will require cleaning.

I would never run my center fire suppressors on a rimfire….. even the ones that are serviceable and rated for it. Rimfire cans are fairly cheap.
I also won’t buy another 223/5.56-specific suppressor. It’s not worth the limitations and stuff with more volume works better anyway, even if the bore is larger. This is the best advice here IMO. You can handle a lot of firearms and calibers with a 22lr can and a 30 or 36 cal. can. The only advantage of a dedicated 223 can is the smaller size and lighter weight, but at the cost of being limited to the smaller bore diameter. The larger capacity on a 30 cal can will make up for the sound lost through the larger diameter bore, and some platforms have replaceable end caps that you can install when you're shooting a sub caliber (the Omega 36m comes to mind) The Omega 36 also can be used on a 9mm handgun.

I have a Sparrow on on .22LR bolt action and an El Camino on a 10/22. I chose the El Camino over the Mask because it felt it was a little lighter. I need to swap the suppressors between guns to try them out. Big difference between the bolt and semiauto. I was expecting the bolt gun to be quieter but the difference is very noticeable.

So, the bolt slap on a 10/22 becomes VERY loud when you suppress subs in it. If you replace the buffer with one of the plasti or rubber coated ones, it’s MUCH better. I don’t have much issue with varmints noticing the cycling now. Thanks for the tip.

^^^^ FWIW, a piece of plastic coat hanger can be shaped to work for quite a while. Don’t ask. For the OP, there were some two-fer/bogo sales going on, and they’ll happen again. You can also haggle with the manufacturers themselves sometimes for a special deal on buying two at once. The Silencer Central deal with the K2 rimfire can for free, wasn’t worth the tax stamp IMO. I wouldn’t waste a stamp on a rimfire can that was only ‘marginally’ quiet, just to save size and weight. They're almost all small and light, comparatively, and rimfire is the ONLY place you can get Hollywood quiet, anyway. Why screw that up? OTOH, if you INSIST on a single suppressor for all, the Silencer Central Banish 30 WILL do it all. I’d just make sure I cleaned any rimfire build up of lead, etc out before I ran heavy center fires through it and got over pressure.

You’re right, the K2 can didn’t have great reviews but I did watch one video where it did decent on a rifle. I figured what the heck, I needed a DA Mask anyway so I got it and the K2.
