Got 2 varieties of potatoes planted this afternoon. 11 rows 80’ long. Still got 2 varieties left to plant. Hoping to get those planted in the morning. And my 3pt potato planting contraption worked like a charm.

Got my little row of purple majesty planted a couple of weeks ago. How are your onions doing? My tops are a little smaller than this time last year. Think that snow may have set ‘em back a little. Mine are the same way. Definitely not going to be my best crop but should be ok.

I built a 3pt contraption that has the trench opener on the front, a drop tube with a tray for seed, and closing discs on the rear. I welded up and old boat seat on it and a person rides it and drops seed down the tube. I’ll send you a video tomorrow. It actually worked way better than I thought it would. Sure makes it a lot easier on the back when planting as much as we do. I don’t worry about the eyes being up. They drow just fine either way. We are up to 17 rows planted now. Still got 50lbs of Red Golds to plant in a few days.

Only planted 20 pounds tho...
