Yep, nobody is willing to go that far back in history to understand the dynamics of what has actually happened over there. They just want to point to evil Russia invading. It's not just the last few years how we've gotten here...and Obama and Biden are the root cause of most of the mess as it stands today. I just don't understand what "I stand with Ukraine" means when you are an American, makes zero sense. So that means you are OK with us just continuing to send billions of US tax dollars over there just for there to be a stalemate and millions die OR even worse, you think it's a worthy enough cause that we should send our troops over there and let them start getting killed as well. Those are the options if you "stand with Ukraine". I personally stand with the US and don't give a chit about Ukraine.
I go back longer than Obama and Biden to the days of the old Soviet Empire that Putin says he wants to bring back. Ukraine is a vital first step in this quest. That is why he needs to be stopped in his tracks. Speaking of Biden, do you see the timing of his invading Ukraine while we has the weakest, most inept president in my lifetime (and remember I'm old) as just a coincident? No Putin did this when he would have the best chance of achieving his goal. I don't mind helping Ukraine as long as the bulk of the help monetarily comes from Europe since they are at the greater risk. I think our help should largely come in the form of advanced weaponry. But more than anything right now, I want Ukraine back at the table to sign the Rare Earth Metals agreement so we can start recouping some of the money we spent over there. This also gets Russia back at the table to negotiate peace. Like I said in the above post, I respected Z when the war first started but now he is just an obstacle to peace. If all this means that I "Stand with Ukraine", then I do, but in no way does this mean I am against America. America is not at war with Ukraine and I still consider myself in Trump's America First crowd. I just don't see where supporting Ukraine and being an American patriot are mutually exclusive. I will continue to do both.
