Patterned the 301 with 6 shot TSS this weekend and I am impressed. It is a 40 plus yard gun all day long. 6 shot out of a .410? But why? Cause that's what they had at the store. Patterning it was the point. I'll fine tune later. Heck I looked to order some more and they don't make 6 shot so it couldn't have been 6. Must have been 7 or 9. I'm thinking it was probably 7 because some of the pellets were shooting through metal roofing at over 40 yards. #9 will blow thru metal roofing at 40. This will be my 13th season carrying 410 and it’s good to 45 easy. I’m around 67 birds with my Kmart special 410. I shoot mostly handloads but have used Apex with great results. I rechecked the TSS box to see what they were and they are 9 shot. I must have read the 9 upside down LOL !
