Too dang cold to do much productive outside today. Guess I’ll try to get some of my burning done. Maybe I can get enough fire going to keep warm.

I dont think you have a problem getting one going with the low humidity - good luck!

Well that didn’t carry worth a crap. Was hoping with the wind and low humidity I would have had it roaring but I guess the ground was still too damp and cold.

I'm planning some for tomorrow. May not be enough wind to carry it very well, but I'm gonna try.

We had a good burn today. There wasn't really enough wind, and what there was turned out to be inconsistent, but the humidity was so low that it burned well anyway. I think tomorrow will be similar. Good luck to all who try it

Need a couple days with these conditions where the ground is not still frozen solid at 2 pm. I’m giving it a try tomorrow.

Got some upland hardwoods burned today that I couldn't get to carry more than a couple feet last week.

We burned 4,500 acres of forest service land this week. Got off in time to burn some for the neighbors today. It was ripping through upland longleaf on the forest at 8:00 this morning but couldn’t hardly get fire to carry with a head fire at 3:00 this afternoon in plantation loblolly’s on flat ground but I did have good luck getting early successional areas to burn this afternoon.

Burning 50 acres 5 year old long leaf and 50 acres of 40 year old loblolly as soon as conditions are right. Those LL's probably need gotten soon before they candle out. Conditions are good for it now. We burned about 110 acres of loblolly Friday in south Montgomery with great results.

I was gonna do more today and tomorrow, but the state has issued a no burn order for today. The fire weather forecast doesn't support shutting it down like this, but I guess they can do whatever they want.

Their resources are stretched thin fighting all the wild fires this week. It was VERY volatile yesterday. We burned 6 days in a row and yesterday had me on edge the whole day. The humidity is dropping below 20% in some areas with inconsistent winds. I don’t blame them.
