I doubt he bought it. Its a buffer. Not as big a buffer as all of ukraine but a buffer. I figure he knows ukraine wont keep their word, so hes taking a buffer from NATO. It would seem he expects they will break their word and join NATO anyhow or they kinda already have without the paperwork because the NATO countries are already fighting with them.

Russian land grab is what it was. Neither party was a good guy. Russian is a bully and took something that cost them dearly. It's bad enough to loose the boots and hardware. Russias powerhouse reputation is also gone and won't be coming back. Nobody wants their military hardware now. Regardless of outcome, Putin and regime wish it never happened.

Ukraine was a nobody and is just a money launderer. I don't give a single damn what happens to them.

But it doesn't sit right that Russia gets to keep that land. My opinion only, is the borders should at least return to Pre-2020.

If its a done deal, i reckon the war is over, huh? I watched some of the anti Trumpnews this week, to see what they were saying about it. They all, every one, acted like this would never happen and was absurd to even suggest such a thing, pretty much. All acted like what Trump proposed was just stupid. But thats retty much how they act about everything and i hope we get to watch Trumps plans and ideas fall into place one by one. I havent seen anything about this being a done deal but it sounds pretty much like what Trump was suggesting, after he had talked to putin and zelinski. I dont care either way, personally. Trump also said the US wouldnt be sending troops over there or fund the rebuilding. We would help. There will not be a deal or end to the war without ukraine joining NATO being taken off the table. If they dont agree to that, putin will just keep killing them. bidun should have stayed out of this and the war would never have even started.

It'll never go back to pre-war boundaries. Our own incompetent foreign policy and the talk of bringing Ukraine into NATO led to this war.

I agree with your statement about Russia keeping the territory that they took without being provoked by the Ukrainian army. They invaded a sovereign country based upon a weak Europe and American leadership. I have nothing against the Russian people but the communist regime of Putin is a problem for us until he’s gone. I also think that the government of Ukraine should pay us back and not one penny of our tax dollars goes towards rebuilding the country. Let Europe pay for it.
