I saw an outdoor special one time where a warden took his cap and placed it over the camera so he would not be photographed while he checked a feeder the camera was watching. The image the cap made was a "blur" like a bird flying by might make when he placed it over the lens of the game camera. The warden should have done this if he did not want evidence of himself being in the area.

As far as him saying "If I get caught, I get caught"-sounds to me like you caught him red handed in the act with the evidence. It would be his word against your word now. Good luck with whatever it is you decide to do now. The way I see it, there is no good outcome for you no matter what you do.
