Met the game warden yesterday afternoon on the way to my stand. He said he was walking farms in our area looking for bait. He found my feeders, which were empty and have been for several weeks. He wrote me a warning for not having my liscense on me, understandable, I was in the wrong. The story goes south when he reaches in his pocket and pulls out my SD card from my camera. It had apparantly taken his picture. When I asked him if he planned on keeping it, he looked like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He said that he was planning on putting it back in my camera when he left our farm. He was parked about 2 miles away. I find it odd that he would take my card, and then put it back when he left. He gave it back to me after I asked if he would walk with me to my feeder/camera location to make sure I was legal to hunt the stand close to this area. My question is, is this a normal practice for game wardens to take property that doesn't belong to them because they are trying to be sneaky and not get caught on camera. Anybody else ever ran across something like this. No, I am not going to release his name and county this happened in.
