Conflicting info coming out now, originally saw a report this morning saying he served in the army. Just saw another report on Fox that He enlisted in the navy in Aug 2004. He was discharged from the Navy 30 days later (no reason given as to why) and never even reported to recruit training command, so what is the real story?

Also coming out now, that he did not serve in the military as they rushed to report. He enlisted in the navy in Aug 2004. He was discharged 30 days later (no reason given as to why) and never even reported to recruit training command, so no he did not ever serve a single day in any branch of the armed forces. Where are you seeing that? I guy posted on 24Hr Campfire he served with him? https://www.foxnews.com/us/who-sham...-new-orleans-new-years-terrorist-suspect

Just edited my post to correct. The navy article was posted on fox 2 hrs ago. Another article on fox from this morning quotes the FBI as saying he served in the army As they say"it's a fluid situation"; will be interesting to understand his radicalization

Is it possible that one refers to the owner of the vehicle and the other to the actual driver since it was a private vehicle that was rented?

I have known a few students who dual or multi-enlisted as a student but at a certain credit hour amount they are directed toward the branch that fits best. i.e. We paid for your school now pick your boss.

This was the original stand alone article I saw on fox. Strange thing that I missed initially was, how did he enlist in the Navy under a different name…
U.S. military spokesperson told Fox News that Shamsud Din Jabbar, the suspect behind the Bourbon Street attack, was briefly enlisted in the U.S. Navy.
Jabbar enlisted in the Navy in August 2004 and was discharged one month later from the delayed entry program, an official said. [/color]He was enlisted under a different name at the time.[color:#FF0000]
He never made it to recruit training command, meaning he was discharged before he could have served in the Navy.
"Our records show that a Shamsuddin Bahar Jabbar enlisted on Aug. 12, 2004, in Navy Recruiting District Houston and was discharged from the Delayed Entry Program one month later on Sept. 13, 2004," a Navy spokesperson explained. "He did not go to Recruit Training Command."
Fox News' Liz Friden contributed to this report.

Like Wew3006 said, It’ll be very interesting to see exactly where and when he was radicalized and who was involved in it. Like similar situations in the past, my money is on it being a radical cleric at some mosque here in the US. There is a Mosque within easy walking distance of his home. Its a mostly Arab middle eastern neighborhood in Houston. White folks and English would be rare in that neighborhood.

Always carry, solve the problem. What load works best on a charging F150?? Standard pressure fmj 9 mil will get through auto glass. Standard 40 & 45 will do it with bigger holes. The 38 super was made to punch through doors back when doors were steel. It's not impossible it just looks ugly.

That may be the case, but we’ll never exactly know for sure. Unless it’s convenient and easy, they aren’t going to go into suspected or known influences or outside help he may have had. They just aren’t going to publicize it; it’s too much trouble for them to be worth it. Correct. And everybody working for the FBI is considering a job/position move or retirement right now. Half of them just want to skate on to something other than media related things or real responsibilities.
