Ya’ll ever do any good on the flint river? I’ve been thinking about trying it out but not sure if it’s got much in it other than panfish.

I have floated the flint from Hazel Green all the way to the Tennessee River multiple times and have done sections a bunch of times. Plenty of fish in the Flint. On overnight trips we have never had an issue catching fish to eat for dinner if that is something you want to do. One of my favorite things about small river fishing is fish are where you think they will be. Pools, runs, structure. Seton what u want to catch a basic start would be rooster tails, pop-R, crickhopper, 4” lizards, small white crappie jigs. You can catch practically everything in the flint with that small variety of tackle.
