Benadryl once you have it.

Tecnu prevention is AMAZING! I get poison ivy if I drive past it. After a day in the field, especially if I’m bush hogging or weed eating etc, I’ll bath in Tecnu and no problems. A surveyor turned me onto it.

At first sign, scrub the area down with dawn dishwashing detergent. Dawn breaks down the oils that poison Ivy and Oak transmit with. Once the oil is broken down, the rash cannot spread or develop. It works…..

If at first you dont succeed, You may not want to try parachuting

Never bothered me but my brother can look at it and start blisters/itching. So some people don't have to touch it to get it. So maybe inhaling the smell?

Make sure you wash anything that comes in contact with it very good. Urishiol can hang around for a long time and continue to give you a rash each time you come in contact with it. Boots, gloves, tools, etc.

I am 60 yo, I made it 50 years and it never bothered me, I remember climbing trees and pulling vines back as the climber went up, then one time….now it eats me up! Technu and Dawn both seem to work for me now as I wash down if I know I have been around it.
