So if I was needing new bats for a 24v trolling motor...would i want to go lithium, and if so...what size (amp hours?)? I'm not a tourney fisherman, so i'm not looking for bats they need to go for 8-10hrs. I'm more of a recreational fisherman that a 6hr fishing trip is a long time.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I don’t own a lithium trolling battery yet. But I do know they are the go to for longevity of power and use. Several people I have talked to love theirs.. I know they are way more expensive and need a lithium charger. With the luck I’ve been having out of batteries, the next one I buy for trolling will be a lithium… probably a 36v. Sorry for the no help

Gonna do the same gman when mine go out. I'd like to get a 24v lith so can do away with one battery. Do have question about battery chargers, i've heard some don't work well charging lithium Batts?? I've got a 3 bank dual pro setup in mine for last 5 or 6 years...

So i saw Blaine Shelton from sheltons clothing in a vid advertising a battery charger "that'll charge all batteries...cell, gel and lithium" for $40. 2 27/29 series deep cycle bats are gonna cost me ~$250. Was looking at a lithium phosphate bat on amazon (24v and 100Ah) that was $429. 10yr warranty and 1/2 the weight. Seems like a no brainer?

I have a 16v for my scope, and a 16v lithium battery charger. I’m not quite sure how all that works on the different volt battery sizes with the chargers.. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with what Blaine is selling but I know most of the things he sales for cheap is because he buys someone out or there may be a little something different than normal.. I shop there so no stones thrown at him

I switched to lithium's three years ago. I can go all day on a 24v Ultrexx. My anchor has been doing nothing but gathering dust. I bought 2 12v 100ah just in case I needed one to use as a cranking battery while on the water. Have a Noco two bank charger installed in one of the dry compartments.

So you bought 2 12v and configured them to 24v? Like you'd do 2 reg 12v bats?

Research showed that 2-12v instead of 1-24v was the way to go. I also went with the Noco charger.

You can now buy the no name lithium batteries off Amazon for less money than lead acid batteries. I've switched 2 golf carts and most of my boat batteries to lithium with these type batteries and haven't had a problem. A reliable lithium charger is only around $60, though if you want one that charges 3 or 4 at a time it will cost more. You definitely need a charger rated for lithium.
I still have a lead acid cranking battery. You can get those in lithium but they are so expensive that I don't think it makes economic sense.

I have 3 lithium batteries I use. 100ah for my trolling motor (12v) on my pelican next, a 56 ah I got to use with my plastic creek boat in skinny water (due to light weight, and a 14ah I use to power my depth finder I made a portable box for. All have worked great and I’ve not run out of juice on any of them. One of those I bought came with a charger, so I now have two for lithium batteries.
If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them then someday you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.

Just get the li-time batteries and charger from amazon. I had name brand lithiums and they let me down several times. I've got two of the litime 36volt and they have been awesome. I also have one of there little 50 amp 12volt for running my livescope
We will burn that bridge when we get there
