It appears the wind shear has backed off and the west side is filling in now.

Looks to early for a pinpoint landfall just yet ..... but I don't like seeing anybody getting hit by any kind of hurricane, tropical storm or tornadoes,, praying it doesn't turn out real real bad , these weather predictors have been wrong before,, hoping their wrong about the severity of it this time. Cantore,, stay away from mobile dude...

Most of the models I saw on Mike's show it landing east of Apalachicola around St. Marks; give or take a wobble. Straight in to Tallahassee and S. Ga. with hurricane force winds 100miles from the center. Big flooding potential on east side like Tampa Bay, etc.
I have a beach house rented on SGI 10/27; hope it survives being on the West side?

We dont consider Atlanta much in our lives around here, but that airport is not going to be flying for at least 24 hours and its the busiest airport on Earth. Plus, given the current condition of Atlanta city services and its new style of citizenry...This one could cause all kinds of unexpected problems.

Bless you Zbrann....you are certainly in the crosshairs at the moment. However, a little jog to the east could be much better on the Tallahassee area.

Yep, fingers crossed. I’d hate it for the folks in Perry if that does happen. They have been beat up lately

Zbrann if you want to email me send one to alphaandomegatd@gmail.com and we can talk if you have ideas of places for us to setup.

She's off to the races now. Wrapping up and pressure dropping. She'll be a hurricane in the morning. Looks like the tug north has started also. We need that tug east to happen. I cannot stress to folks as far inland as Albany and Macon, they'll have issues with this one.

I alerted my daughter in the Atlanta metro area to not get caught up in it and try and stay home. Just cause she can handle stormy driving from growing up down here, most of those folks in Atlanta cannot. 285 and 85-75 junction area could turn into a true death trap as soon as the wrecks start happening. 12 lanes of 100k people trapped in a 4 hour long storm will not turn out well.

Dang Helene cost me 2 days of vacation/early birthday celebration. Headed back home tomorrow. Trip from hell. If it could go wrong it did. Not one teal or wood duck except for 2 teal we bumped in AL clearing shooting lanes in our duck blinds. rofl

I couldn't imagine driving those @$$ puckering roads in a storm like this.
