Gourd experts step on in!!!!!
My vines are dying and gourds are sun scorched white. Do I leave them in the field to dry? Pick them with 6-8 ft of vine left on them. (Ive heard the moisture wicks back out the vine?) I can put them in a barn to dry if needed? Thanks

Leave them in the field until the vines are completely dead. If you pick them and they have water in them (shake them) then stack on pallets with plenty of gap around them. You may have to drill a hole or two in the bottom to get the water out. Short season gourds don't usually do well.
