Do NOT buy a CHICKEN GUARD coop door opener. Made in England. Had on fail, can't get it to calibrate, cost me two dead chickens from opening in middle of night and coon got in. This on is a replacement for one that failed a year ago. Made in England so no customer service. Fk em.

Not sure of my brand, bought mine off Amazon. It has had its issues every now and then but has been pretty reliable. Hate to hear you have had problems

bought a Manna Pro at Tractor Supply today. Set up is like the Chicken Guard but much easier to do.

checked new Manna Pro this morning and it's working as it should. Also grandson killed a coon last night, probably the one killing my chickens.

Well I spoke too soon. The new Manna Pro opener failed last night , opened during the night??? and I have another two dead chickens. Damn it. I hate crap that doesn't work as promised. I am down to one rooster and one hen from three roosters and seven hen a month ago.

Sounds like you need a dog! When I get critters messing around the yard I let the cur out for a few nights… it’s all fun and games till the skunk gets kilt… maybe your luck will change soon Fred

We just close the door manually. 100% coon proof.

We just close the door manually. 100% coon proof. I may have to go back to that method. my first Chicken Guard door opener lasted prolly five years without a problem, now I can get one to last six months.

Hunter loaned me a handful of DP traps and we caught one coon at the coop door set. Pretty sure it was the coop killer. He dead now.

Hunters traps scored again, caught a coon at my dog kennels. My 80# Mal ripped it out of the trap and killed it with help from the Dutch Shepherd puppy.
