Got a brand new Franchi 20 G with pistol grip. I have run 25, 3 inch shells down it and it wont eject shells. I took it to gunsmith up the road and he broke it down and cleaned and oiled it. Still wont eject. He said forearm is very tight and is wondering if that is keeping the spring from doing its job. He didnt have much time to look at it as he was leaving for a cruise. Trying to keep from sending it into Franchi even though it is under warranty. Anything I could tell him to try/look at?!
Thanks

It will not eject anything. I did just read in book to run 75-100 shells through the gun to get it running properly. The book has such small writing i had to use phone to read it

The 2 3/4 were low then i bought box of 3 inch high brass. I have only put about 10 of the 3 inch high brass through it and probably about the same of low brass

Ended up shooting 5 turkey loads through it then it was good. Ridiculous a high dollar gun does this.

Seems like there was a process to clean the tube when I bought mine years back, but maybe I’m wrong. Did you read the manual? And did you clean the tube according to the manual? Seems like maybe there was cosmoline or something on the tube. I can only remember taking it down one time and that was when it was new, so I had to be doing something to clean it initially.

Shoot some heavy loads and loosen that spring it will be better after breaking in. Mine will only eject tss loads at this time due to that and I’m cheap. It works better now after killing turkeys with mine with the turkey loads

I’d try some high brass 2 3/4 and see how it does. Mine don’t like low brass and if a 3in is a touch too long, it won’t cycle/eject them properly. I know several brands of TSS we’ve had to file the roll to shoot. My own handloads are plenty short and have no problems.
