The ASTB (Alabama Society of Traditional Bowmen) puts on four great all trad shoots each year. One of them raises thousands of dollars for Children’s hospital. If you shoot or are interested in shooting recurves or longbows you should join. Steve Turay of Northern Mist Longbows is the current president. ASTB.Club

there is a trad shoot at Tannehill thru tomorrow, Sunday,June 2.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I shoot Trad. Love my longbows. I shoot a Northern Mist Classic, a Creek Walker Gator and a Bear Montana.
If the Good Lord wanted us to use percussion caps, why I reckon the streams and rivers would be full of 'em!

I used to hunt with trad bows exclusively. Wrote a bunch of articles for trad archers world and traditional bowhunter. Kids got old enough to play sports and that all ended. Just not enough time for me to practice and stay proficient. Hope to eventually get back in it someday.

I shoot a longbow exclusively. Have a Toelke Whistler, A Big Jim Thunderchild and got the call from Big Jim Tuesday night, he just got started on my new Big Jim Thunderchild TD! It's currently about a 14 month wait to get one of his bows built, and to be perfectly honest, I totally forgot about putting down the deposit and getting on the list again. Been busy building my house and haven't been shooting lately.
