My ex and I agreed on what we were both getting. She had an attorney draw it up. I went to his office to sign paperwork and leave a check for an amount we agreed on. I did not get an attorney. It was simple and I was happy with the outcome. However, we did not have children, so I guess it depends on your specific situation as to what will work best for you.

Anyone got a good lawyer in the Birmingham or Tuscaloosa area

It is VERY important that you select a Lawyer who Practices in the county you reside in....ask me how I know.

And don't forget......once it has REALLY set in that it's Over....a Woman can become more self-centered/meaner than a pissed off Water Moccasin!! Especially if one of her girl buddies or family member has Counseled Her.
