I haven't watched a game since Shaq retired. After MJ retired I only watched a handful of games, and those were Shaq. Growing up, my grandfather loved watching the Bulls and I'd watch with him. We rarely missed a game with MJ playing. FB figured out I would watch MJ videos and it pushes them to me constantly. Particularly the MJ / LeBron / Kobe GOAT debate stuff. And for whatever reason, I watch them. I remember taking my grandfather to the Barons to watch MJ too. No idea why he liked him so much, but we watched whenever we could. Watching the GOAT debates has me wondering what the NBA is like now.
So for the first time I tune in to watch a game. Celtics and heat. 5:10 left in the 1st quarter. Score is 12 to 6. I've never seen such poor defense, worse shot selection and so many missed shots and poor ball handling. Multiple flops for incidental contact.
I cannot see the draw, and if this is the modern NBA, I can see why Lebron has lasted so long. There is nothing about this garbage that is worth watching. No anticipation of fireworks like when MJ was playing. For me the GOAT debate isn't a debate. This product is complete garbage and I cannot see how it could even be remotely entertaining to anyone who grew up watching the Bulls in the 80's and 90's.
I know this group of rednecks couldn't care less, and frankly I don't either. But I do have that much more respect for what the game was then compared to now. Doubt I'll ever tune in to another game.
And I just realized I should have put in the sports forum. I apologize.

The younger generation has grown to see this product for some reason. I was a Bird/Celtics guy naturally but Earvin Johnson was a winner and would absolutely do anything to win a game. I guess after Mj they all went into business with one another erasing the competition.
Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.

Haven’t watched a game since my Dad passed. He liked watching any and all basketball. Basketball is by far my favorite sport but i don’t watch the NBA. EVER. Buncha pansies who can’t handle any kind of contact at all. And constantly crying about something. I refuse to watch.

I have been watching it more this year that I have in a long while. My favorite player right now is Luka Doncic with the Dallas Mavericks. The Kid is a True Basketball prodigy. My favorite player of All time is Michael Jordan. I do like the kid for the Laker- Austin Reaves. He is no a big time star yet but You can tell he has it in him.

I use to love it when it was Doctor J,David Thompson and Geogre Garvin, use to love the old Celtic teams from late 60's to early 70's but never watch it now! Yep that was real basketball back then. The Sixers practiced at my university field house so I got to meet Julius Erving, Mo Cheeks, and Moses Malone. Dr. J was the only one that was cool. Nice guy took time to talk to me. Last time I watched was when MJ was playing. Had Heat season tickets and got to go to the All Star game and see MJ play. I haven’t watched an NBA game in many year. MJ definitely GOAT. Not even close even though I’m a big fan of Dr. J.

So none of yall watched the pistons in the late 80s early 90s? They were my favorite team. Vinny Johnson was my second favorite player. MJ was #1. I don't watch the NBA anymore. I used to watch the finals every year but I haven't watched any of it in the last 10 years. I could not stand that thug team- The Pistons. It was a joyous moment when the Bulls swept the Pistons 4-0 in 1991 an sent the Pistons to the gutter of the Eastern Conference where they stayed in the cellar for several years. The Pistons had a special thug defense- hack the best player on the floor “Jordan Rules”. It still was not enough to keep Jordan and the Bulls down.

I’ve never watched an NBA game in my life. This^^^ It has ZERO appeal to me. I believe the only reason it is still around is due to a certain demographic.
