I loved my career with the US Forest Service for 30 yrs., the last 2 years were not that desirable because of upper management and leadership and the direction the "the new generation" was headed..... I walked out the door with 32.5 yrs and have no regrets, it gave me an opportunity to travel all over the country and to meet some great people, some of them which I still consider friends......I still can participate in wildfire management incidents as a direct hire when the need arises, get paid great money to do it a few times a year and still enjoy my retirement. I know I was blessed to have a job where I could work in the great outdoors....
