I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

I found primers in a gun shop the other day. When the fella rang them up, he said "$8.90". I had to explain to him that that was the sleeve price and it was supposed to be x 10. That was hard to do since it wasn't that long ago they were $30 a thousand. Doing the right thing ain't always easy I guess.

What doesn't make sense to you? I refused to use the self checkout? I don't work for them? Or I make sure they know why I won't use the self checkout?

I'll leave my stuff sitting there by the register and leave 99.9% if they don't have a person working a register. The .01% is if it's something I have to have for work

We will burn that bridge when we get there

I'm really conflicted on self checkout............part of me is against them for the various reasons already mentioned above; but another part of me likes that I can just checkout myself, without having to interact with stupid people

I hate when that happens. I do not want anything that does not belong to me! It does feel good to do the right thing anyway. I suspect some normal would just ignore the fact and drive away. Jesus would not let me do that. I thank Him for guiding and instructing me every day, every step if the way! I'm just wondering if this has happened to you?

Self checkout is about to go away anyway. DG is stopping it altogether. WM and some of the bigger chain stores are starting a project where they will keep their self checkout machines but you have to buy a yearly package for $100 - $150 to be able to use them. That's going to fall on it's face within a year. These stores are just experiencing too much loss because society as a whole is just dishonest. I read one time where they caught a guy holding a pack of Kool Aid over the barcode and scanning every item in his cart with it. His receipt said he had bought 73 packs of grape Kool Aid. They caught the guy and the article said he made over 200K a year and they couldn't figure out why he was even doing that.

I prefer self-checkout when I have just a few items, I can be in and out of the store way quicker that way.

Back when you could choose between self service and full service, self service was cheaper. If self checkout was cheaper, I'd use it.
