It has been a dang chore for me an my wife keepin this baby happy..he is not sleeping well at all and we havin to di shift work to keep our sanity..been hard to get back to the woods for me..hopin i can get it back together this weekend

Guys I’m sorry these birds are kicking my but. I went yesterday morning on public land and had a bird hammering on the opposite ridge I crossed the creek bottom and got to the other side and he was still gobbling. Now I’m the bottom I got almost to the end of the ridge to set up and heard a whistle. Another hunter was already sitting there so I backed up 2-300 yards out of sight, sat down and listened to him call at the bird and the bird hammer back. Eventually the bird quit gobbling and he quit calling so I’m guessing he went after the bird I eased out of there and went back to the truck and went home I would have kept hunting but I had to work tonight and couldn’t stay as late as I normally do. I’m working the next 4 nights so I won’t be back in the woods until Friday. I’m going to North Georgia next Sunday and will be hunting in the Chatahoochie National Forest with a buddy. Turkey hunting is the most fun and most Frustrating thing I’ve ever done and part of me wishes I’d never started.

Had my gun on a gobbling birds head at 15 yards when he crested the ridge. I’m about 60% confident it was a Jake though and didn’t shoot. Caught some trout and hung out but back home now. Off to Iowa Thursday then Missouri.

Leaving for Iowa/Missouri tomorrow…hope to kill some more

I have hunted more this year than i ever thought id get to…an i have nothin to show for it. I have had 2 dead on public land and have had people walk in on me both times…it is so frustrating to see all these people who have obviously never turkey hunted and just decided to go absolutely screw you. I remember a time when deer hunters thought bowhuntin an turkey huntin was a dumb waste of time…im ready for those days to come back😐

An it dont help i aint heard a turkey gobble on the ground since the 3rd week of april…🤷🏻
