My son wants to give a driving range a try. Got him a set of used clubs for $25. What’s a good place to go in the Hoover area just to drive some balls. This could be very Happy Gilmore-ish…

Bent Brook is the closest and probably the easiest too. There is also McDivots on Hwy 52 Helena. It's a hole in the wall, but it's sufficient for a first timer. My son took many lessons there over the years.

Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

McDivots on Hwy 52 between Helena and 459.

McDivots on 52. Use to go after dark and sometimes a doe would cross the range at the far end. Time to pull out the driver. laugh

A few lessons from a GOOD golf instructor/ golf pro, is a great idea. Just some average dickhead at the range that shoots high 80’s is not a good idea. Someone that constantly says keep your head down is more than likely not going to do him any good either.
