What struck a nerve today was....I said I could spot how stupid a homeschool kid was by simply looking at their parents. A statement that I standby 100%.
Then I made a Wolf T comment.
Connect those dots and get back with me if you have any questions. The dots I’ve connected are pretty clear. I had no idea what a wolf T was and don’t care. You attacked homeschoolers as being stupid. People called you out on it and you doubled down, which only confirms what I’ve thought a long time. The most unintelligent dribble spewed on this entire thread is yours. Not sure you are doing it for attention, for grins and giggles, or maybe you just simply don’t know any better, but it’s ridiculous either way. I don't really care that he thinks they are stupid . He's certainly entitled to that opinion regardless how ignorant and misguided it may be. The part that bothered me was him saying he was against the rights of parents to make those decisions. His belief that public education is better preparing kids for life says plenty about his reasoning abilities. I think on average a good public school is better at preparing kids for life than an average home school. Not saying I'm right ot they are better at teaching a certain subject. y But that is what I believe. Now, some home schools are different. Some are just small private schools masquarading as home schools. These co-ops can be very effective, but I'm still not sold on them being "better" than a good public school for the reasons I put in my 1st comment.

I'd speculate home schoolers and their parents are like public schooled kids and their parents. Some are really engaged , some are not and some fall the middle. Anyone that says he can judge a book by the cover , can't read.

As somebody who taught college for a long time I can tell you with certainty that home schooled kids meet the same averages as public/private school kids. Also, on the socializing side of things, the averages are also the same. Some home school kids are just as regular as any other and some are just as weird and socially broken as the others. There really is no difference on average.

Will someone tell 3% he left his front door open and his little brother wandered out into the street? talk about Deja vu. was thinking the exact same

Did the picture of the kid include the school bus stop in the background or was this some random picture? I would certainly think that could make a difference here.
Did the SRO have a warrant? If not how did someone show up and just search a house?
Overall something doesn't seem right... how much trouble has this kid been in? Inside and Outside school?
I am not sure I would 100% trust what your neighbor is telling you includes all the facts. Alleged hacking of social media accounts and all that.... starting to smell fishy IMO
What your neighbor clearly needs to do is quit their good paying job... move to nowhere and start homeschooling this kid he's clearly getting picked on by "the system". They should run away and teach their kids that it's someone else's fault. Those are great lessons to teach your children. Got quite a few proponents of that here apparently. No it was a random picture. I don't know what kind of trouble he has been in, other than he is just a teenage boy. I don't think it matters where he takes a picture with a gun, as long as its not in a prohibited place. And its none of their business what he posts on social media if he isn't making threats. The point I am making is this is a rogue SRO, who the chief deputy says is an outstanding deputy, who has since been moved out of the high school, at the principals request, for being to combative. The issue with my son was the school admin. And again, his account was hacked, he can't even get in it. That is also not something they can do, manage what he allegedly posts off campus. We all sit back and allow these kind of overstepping, and don't do anything. An SRO is in a school for a specific purpose, which is to create favorable impressions of law enforcement with the students. What is happening instead is students are getting introduced to the criminal justice system for things we were suspended for, or given licks for. Can the police bring a drug dog to the walmart parking lot and search cars? They can at a school aparently.

I never mentioned parents rights. You made that up.
You said "I'm against home schooling" Did you just mean you're against it in your own home? If you want to believe the government better prepares kids for success than the parents you have every right to that opinion, no matter how ignorant or misguided it may be. You'll get a lot of support from liberals with that line of thinking but most conservatives will hold a polar opposite view. So, to clarify, you're against it but not to the point of legislation?

One of y’all that’s commented may be a lawyer so I don’t know if so raise a hand lol Yes I’m an attorney. I see absolutely no way the passage of the bill could impact the possession of a firearm is someone’s HOME. It’s called HOME schooling. The State does not own the home and cannot regulate the lawful private acts of individuals within their homes. Inside your home you have the expectation of the utmost privacy, whether you're teaching your children State approved education or you’re having sex with your wife on the dining room table.

I'm against home schooling almost 100% of the homeschooled kids I come into contact with I can tell are stupid just by looking at their parents. Living cheap out in the country and home schooling your kids is not putting your children on a pathway for success. I have direct family who does this so I have first hand experience and I've got a couple nieces and nephews that were almost stupid as a result. Instead I helped them. Both parents are highly educated but unfortunately are lazy in life and didn't want to work hard so they moved from one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Atlanta to the middle of nowhere. Homeschooled their kids lived broke didn't work hard so I guess they achieved THEIR life goals. I am the CTO of the company that I have worked with for 17 years. I was home schooled 1st - 12th grade. I didn't finish college but I am the youngest member of my corporate team by about 15 years. I consider myself one of the least successful home schooled kids I grew up with. Many of my graduating class own and run some very successful businesses. I have seen some awkward home schoolers who have been very successful. I have also seen not so awkward but very unsuccessful home schooled adults. If you research true educational data, home schooling has produced above average college graduates consistently for many years. Many home schooled college grads are running major portions of some top tier businesses across this great state of Alabama. Mr. Goatkiller sir, I am afraid your dreamed up knowledge of home schooling is in fact just simply put, incorrect.

Come watch public middle school and high school functions with the kids walking around like zombies all drugged up on anti anxiety and A.D.D. meds and you'll find there are a lot more awkward kids getting a public education than those "well adjusted" kids GK claims public education is turning out.

The best family I know has their kids home-schooled. Those kids are the most respectful, hard working kids I know. Good Christians, and the boys (20-22 years old) can build you a house to live in. The girls can cook and take care of kids. The parents adopted my little great-nephew that was born from a meth head that gave him up at birth. He's smart as heck, sweet as heck, loves to read books and is only 5 years old. That family is angels to that little boy.

Also when you reply - What's a furry?
Its a person who thinks they're an animal like a wolf/fox/dog/horse/kitten so now public schools have litter boxes for them they're usually pro vax and boosted too
