When has any POTUS done anything remotely close to this?
Ronald Reagan stopped and dined with patrons at the McDonalds in Northport, Alabama many years ago. It was a big deal around here back then. Even hung a plaque inside the place commemorating his visit.

Joe Biden tried to do that at some places recently and it looked like a staged clown shown. Trump just rolled in unexpectedly and took over the place like the boss he is and left everybody happy.

Got it wrong, again. Now not what I would have done or said but do need to know the entire story and see the video not just what a new outlet reported.
The story and video was taken at Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia, and shows Cathy, Lecrae, and Pastor Louie Giglio talking about racism. Cathy tells a story about a revival that was held in a small town in Texas with a history of racism. A young man in attendance, according to Cathy, was so moved by the anti-racism message of the sermon that he went over to an older Black man and started to shine his shoes.
Cathy then says:
I invite folks just to put some words to action here and if we need to find somebody that needs to have their shoes shined, we need to just go right on over and shine their shoes. Whether they got tennis shoes on or not — maybe they got sandals on — it really doesn't matter. But, there's a time in which we need to have some personal action here. Maybe we need to give them a hug, too.
I bought about 1,500 of these [brushes] and I gave them to all our Chick-Fil-A operators and staff a number of years ago. So, any expressions of a contrite heart, of a sense of humility, a sense of shame, a sense of embarrassment begat with an apologetic heart — I think that's what our world needs to hear today.

Cathy was clearly talking about how to counteract racism when he made these messages. However, Cathy did not literally say that "white people should shine black's shoes to show sense of shame for racism." In fact, it appears that "shining shoes" was a symbolic gesture to illustrate Cathy's larger point: that the world needs to take action to combat racism, and that those actions need to begin with an apologetic heart.

there’s a lot worse in this world to hook your yoke to than truett cathy. I’m not in the stone throwing business and he definitely ain’t getting one from me.

Meh. I couldn't care less about the guy. However that was totally unnecessary of him, but he was just taking advantage of a great opportunity and it stuck with me. But hey folks can wait in 3 lines for sub par shicken all they want, and also pretend like they're helping some great Christian ran company 😏

Nothing to see here folks. Sub par chicken with a side of white guilt virtue signaling. It was the timing of it all that made it stink so bad. Right at the peak of all the BLM marches and monuments being taken down. You can’t isolate his actions from the cultural environment in America at that particular moment. He sold out.
