Well as luck would have it today after lunch I was going to give a buddy a ride to get his truck after he had gone and borrowed a tractor and drive it back to his house. I pulled up to one of the freshly disced AG fields and there he was strutting with a hen in the shade on the other side of it. I backed out and pulled around to another entrance. I slipped my leafy suit on and went ahead with my crocs. There’s a point of thick woods that extends out into the field and I was able to slip in about 100yds from him and his hen. There was a slight breeze that definitely helped. I sat down and yelped to him and he gobbled. His hen started to drift away so I started cutting and he gobbled a few times at that. I peaked his interest and here he came slowly strutting a few feet at a time. Once he got to 20 he stood tall and I rolled him with my 28ga. He must’ve tried looking at the eclipse without his special glasses.
