The Canon of the Bible was selected by the Council of Rome in 382 A.D. and has remained unchanged since then.
And as much as I love the King James Bible, it's a horrible translation. But basically, King James and his council translated the same Bible that had been in use for 1200 years.
That's why I like the companion Bible it's KJV with Hebrew and Greek analysis

Unless you're fluent in the original Koine Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew, all translations contain error. The KJV is a good translation but contains error. Matthew 27:3 incorrectly translates Judas "repented". Only a genuine, born-again Believer can repent or in a Sinner's prayer of salvation, which includes repentance. Judas was destined for destruction. Unless a person studies the Greek texts that are used, and gives an honest defense of why they chose them, they have no real argument as to which translation is best. The KJV-only crowd, who acts as if Erasmus was inspired when he compiled the Textus Receptus, needs to explain why he used the Vulgate in Revelation, bringing errors into his Greek text that differed with the Majority Texts (as well as the Alexandrian texts). Those proclaiming the supremacy of the KJV are uninformed about how the Bible came to be. 2 Tim 2:15: Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Stand on the Gospel, not on a particular translation.

So everyone is say that God in his infinite wisdom could not control, lead, guide men as He did those that originally wrote the Holy Scriptures and now we have a jumbled up mess with hidden agendas to lead us all astray ? This should help everyone to feel much better about the versions they’re reading

This is why praying to God to open your heart and mind to reveal and understand His Word before opening your Bible each time is a blessing. Also praying for Him to reveal something new in passages you have read many times is also enlightening.

I don't understand it.

What about the book of Enoch and a few other books being referenced by some of the Apostles and I think other Old Testament writers?
Romans 8:1-2 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of Sin and Death"

I read something in the bible a couple of weeks ago thats left me quite conflicted. It was the part where the woman asked jesus " if a woman has multiple husbands and goes to heaven......" Jesus said you wouldn't recognize any of them, you'll be like the angels. I dont know how to put that into a question. But could someone explain that to me. Will we not recognize our loved ones in heaven?

Also praying for Him to reveal something new in passages you have read many times is also enlightening. Exactly....I always ask God to give me an understanding of His Word, before and after I read them. I have to admit, sometimes I don't understand some of the scriptures, but I continue to read to get that understanding over time.....

But the family is something God made for earth that will not exist in heaven. it is possible that we will recognize family when we get there, but at some point God will wipe away all tears. because alot of family won't be there

Marks outdoors Erasmus was fluent in Greek so were the translators of the king james Bible. I'm not king james only I'm also mathews bishops great Bible Geneva. I'm the word of God only. I don't read the corrupt versions of Wescott and hort who were catholic sympathizers.the modern versions based off of Wescott and hort are jesuit catholic bibles. the Bible says that the anti christ would devour the whole earth and that's what the whore of babylon based in Rome has done. Erasmus did learn Greek, but was also very liberal humanistic and remained devoted to the Catholic church. In my reference to Matthew 27:3, the Greek translates that Judas "regretted" (Greek μεταμεληθεὶς). That's not the same as biblical repentance. With that said, I still believe the KJV to be a good, but not inerrant translation.

Praying to God to guide you in something that is corrupt is utterly useless and all interpretations are corrupt You need to go to school to learn Corny Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic Then you find the original text to study and then pray to our Holy God for direction and understanding otherwise we’re all doomed to Gahenna with the devil and the rest of the unbelievers

the kjv was largely copied from the roman catholic geneva bible; both contain the terrible translation of passover in the disgusting E word, which is a mark of the syncretism used by the roman church to buy pagans. king james also ordered his translators to make it easy to claim apostolic succession for the priests who ordained him which, in turn, framed monarchies in apostolic succession. and, the kjv is in a foreign language that hasn't been spoken for more than 400 years. it might as well be in latin, because it leaves preachers in charge of interpretation rather than the priesthood of believers parsing the Word for themselves. i happen to be using the Complete Jewish Bible, a messianic jewish translation in common English, which teaches me tiny bit of Hebrew by its illustrative use of Hebrew terms. what an eye-opener it has been. oh yeah: the use of the E word in place of passover and Resurrection Day is utterly sickening, as are bunnies and eggs, both of which symbolize pagan fertility god worship.

Will we not recognize our loved ones in heaven? https://www.gotquestions.org/neither-marry-nor-given-in-marriage.htmlclip People will not marry or be given in marriage in the resurrected state, but that does not mean people will not remember their earthly relationships. To conclude that people will lose their memories of life before the resurrection stretches the text beyond what it says. Also, being “like the angels in heaven” does not mean that people will become angels, only that they will be like angels regarding marriage.clip thank you, that makes more sense.
