Easter is not on the same day every year... so there is that. A key piece of info when crying foul on this.... not that crying foul is unwarranted.
We don't need a "day" for anything we are all Americans. This is part of them trying to create a tribal society. Every tribe needs their special day with the Liberals. It's about the psychology of Identity.

I’m not taking up for him by any means, but this “Trans Day of Visibility” or whatever they call it has been a thing for a while. But because Easter moves around from year to year, it just so happened to fall on the same day this year. It was still certainly distasteful to go out of the way to recognize it but I’d expect nothing more from these people

What is a “while”? It’s only been “officially” observed in the U.S since 2021, when this administration started observing it.
