My question with a Side by Side is:
What can it do that a used Jeep Wrangler (YJ, TJ or JK) can't do?
Because a Jeep Wrangler can actually go on the road in addition to doing most of the stuff that a side by side will do, and you can get one just as cheap, and the Jeep resale value is higher, and the Jeep is quieter, has a better top and usually has heat and a/c and has more power for pulling stumps, dragging objects, etc...

Jeeps ride like crap. Side by side has independent suspension and that’s the way to go.

Every time I talk out loud about buying one, my wife says, "you can buy a used jeep for that kind of money."

I've had this argument with my best friend, who has a jeep, everytime I ever brought up anything about a sxs. I finally got him to get a sxs and haven't seen him in his jeep since! And for some reason he doesn't carry a purse anymore either

If you go with Kubota there is a large dealer up here by me, 20 miles N of Huntsville, that has a large selection of SXSs to choose from. There is also a Honda dealer and a JD dealer both close by too if you wanted to compare.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

get a used polaris that doesn’t have a lift kit, aftermarket rims and tires , or snorkel. expect a problem from time to time but they’re tough and last forever if u take care of them [/quote]

Troy,
I have had great, real world experience with Polaris. My buddies have can ams and they love them as well.
Outside of maintenance, zero issues with both brands. None of us snorkel or do dumb chit with them.
I’m sure Honda and Kawasakis are solid as well.
You can get a new 1000 with power steering for 12k ish at shoals Powersports. That’s where I would start depending on your budget.
And yes, jeeps ride like a mule and buggy compared to my Ranger.
Edit: the new CF Moto UForce buggies look pretty sharp and are priced competitively.
