Cost effective is such a relative term, and since you don't want a guide, I would recommend that you apply to the SOA hunts and try to get in one of those. You can also call Bojie Beers at Alabama River Lodge or Billy Watts at Blackbelt Lodge and see if they will do a self guided. I hunt around them and know them personally. Your son will see plenty of deer and have a great time.

^^ Speaking of Ezell - that ezells restaurant has gotten good over there again - new management - usually packed. Only open Thursday thru sunday now

^^ Speaking of Ezell - that ezells restaurant has gotten good over there again - new management - usually packed. Only open Thursday thru sunday now That’s his brother I’m pretty sure. They had season tickets right behind mine at the Bama games. They threw down on some pregame meals. Really nice folks

Absolutely giant bucks in there…we ate there back in January and it was a fine meal. Look forward to next time.
