Sounds like someone is pulling a Dem vs Trump tactic. I mean why does a guy making 700M need to gamble on baseball, or anything for that matter. That really don't matter. Why did Rosa Parks need to sit at the front of the bus? Because they wanted to. The thing with ohtani is the double standard that mlb will probably take. If pete is banned...then ohtani should be. But ohtani is the jap golden boy, so nothing will be done no matter the evidence.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I remember watching Rose play/manage. No PEDs, no personal trainer, just the best hitter ever. He definitely made some stupid mistakes but his being banned for life is a double standard and he’s being railroaded imo.

Rose is the best hitter ever? I think Ted Williams , Tony Gwynn, Ty Cobb and a several others would be above Rose in most historians eyes. Rose would probably be on most top 25 list but on almost no top 10 list in my opinion. I grew up watching him and he was a great player and sure HOF'er but he knew the risk he was taking gambling on baseball. Betting on the team he managed could have caused him to make decisions he wouldn't normally make and was for certain unethical. Not a popular opinion but I have no problem with his ban. I don't know if Ohtani bet on baseball but if he did he deserves the same treatment.

But as time passed, I appreciated the commissioner for holding the most revered player of his time to the rules. It was the right decision to ban him, and Pete refusing to acknowledge his guilt for many years was shameful.

There's lots of ways/opinions about the best ever, but 4256 total hits will probably never be broken. https://www.espn.com/mlb/history/leaders/_/sort/hits

Rose will be in the HOF on the first vote after he dies. The lifetime ban will be over then. Yep.
