Can’t speak to Dollywood or any other “touristy” things because we spend pretty much all daylight hours in the park, but about the only way it’s worth going anymore is during the week, particularly in a not-peak part of the year. Winter is great other than some parts of the park being closed. But still try to avoid weekends
yea I try to stay in the park. Only in town place I like to go every visit is alewine pottery and it’s not actually in the tourist trap area of town

My wifes been trying to get me to go there for years. Thats about what i figured it to be like. We go to six flags once a year, always on a weekday and get there early. When the lines get long, we generally leave. I just dont have that kind of patience. Thanks for the review Take your wife next year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Dollywood and the whole area, especially Dollywood though, is done up with lights. Pretty cool to see and despite that they don't forget why we celebrate Christmas. There are several very good shows. You'll enjoy it and your wife will appreciate you for it. A good Southern Gospel show and the Hall of Fame is on the grounds.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Thatll probably be a real good idea in about 5yrs when everything we do isnt accomodating kids. The kids just want to ride rides and have fun. They dont care about the pretty stuff.

Both can be done and unless it is Thanksgiving or Christmas week it is not horribly crowded. Everybody is happy.
