I always find it interesting that the "been driving this old truck you stupid for buying new chit I'm smarter than you with money" aldeer crowd that rents somebody else's land to go deer hunting on.
I don't think people are stupid for buying a new vehicle. People should do what they want to make them happy. I think the point of the article is that sometimes a new vehicle doesn't bring all the happiness that is promised. On the other hand, based on personal experience, financial freedom does definitely enhance your personal happiness. I don't think people are stupid either for buying what makes them happy. So we agree with that. I'm blessed to be able to enjoy financial freedom and I have all the scars and back pain for it just like you and many others on here. Not being a part of the machine goes a long way as you get older.
